Goulding Method®
(formerly known as Sleeptalk®)

What is the Goulding Method®?
The Goulding Method® is a therapeutic tool to improve the emotional and physical state of the child through suggestions for change.
Who is the Goulding Method® for ?
The Goulding Method® is aimed at children from 1 to 12 years old. It is applied directly by the parents to the child during sleep for a period of 6 to 8 months.
What are its applications ?
The applications of the Goulding Method® are limitless and allow you to work, among others, on the following aspects:
- Emotional difficulties
- Self-esteem and self-confidence
- Sleep problems
- Fear and phobias
- Stress and anxiety
- Behavioural disorders
- Bullying and academic difficulties
- Separation, divorce and grief
- Illnesses with an emotional cause
- Attachment disorders
The Goulding Method® can also simply be a tool to give the child everything he or she needs to manage future trials or difficulties in life on his or her own, with confidence and serenity.
How long should the Goulding Method® be applied?
The method should ideally be applied for 6 to 8 months. If it is applied correctly and regularly, it is enough to solve a problem or at least bring it down to a manageable level for the child and the parents.

What are the sessions between the parents and the therapist like ?
The Goulding Method® consists of 3 appointments to which the child does not attend.
In the first one, we explain to the parents the history of the method and how it works. We then take the time to explore what the child is currently experiencing, what is his or her life path and especially what we are going to work on. Finally, we carry out an assessment of the situation before the implementation of the suggestions that will be given by the therapist.
During the second and third appointments, we assess the situation and the improvements that have been made and we write the new suggestions that will be applied.
Three phone exchanges between sessions also allow us to make assessment if needed.
How are the suggestions given to the child ?
Parents apply the suggestions each night during the child’s sleep following the procedure given by the therapist.
The application of the method takes a maximum of 5 minutes per day.
How often do appointments with the therapist take place ?
Each appointment is separated by an interval of about 2 months, to allow the suggestions to anchor themselves properly in the unconscious part of the child’s mind.
