Children and Teenagers

Which parent has never found itself helpless or lost in front of the behavior of his child/teenager? Which parents can honestly say that they have always been able to provide the right response to their child/teenager’s discomfort or needs?
I am a mother myself, and although I am also a therapist, I have encountered many moments in which I have doubted my ability to give my child what he needed, in which I have doubted accompanying him effectively in life and in the construction of himself.
Today’s children and teenagers are no longer the children and teenagers we once were. They are confronted with much more difficult situations, with much more pressure, with an intensity and frequency that exceeds what we ourselves have experienced at their age. Broken or blended families, ever-increasing academic pressure in ever-increasing classes, virtual rather than real social interactions, harassment and violence, access to harmful content. This is just a small glimpse of the reality of today’s children/teenagers.
Nowadays, they are almost no longer allowed to be children or teenagers. They are asked always earlier to be mature, confident and brave, able to manage their emotions in any situation, able to “let go”. In a society that is ever more demanding of the individual, there is concern, legitimately of course, that they could find themselves overwhelmed or even marginalized.
Physical troubles and inappropriate behaviours then emerge in response to this reality of theirs. Sleep problems, anxiety, fears and phobias, tugged emotions, lack of self-confidence, eating disorders, concentration difficulties, aggressiveness, withdrawal, school dropout, and so many others.

Thanks to the following various therapeutic tools, it is possible to give them all the resources they need to cope with what they are going through in the present, but also what they will go through tomorrow:
• Goulding Method® for children from 1 to 12 years old
• Hypnotherapy for children and adolescents from 6 years old
• Emotional Freedom Techniques for children and teenagers from 7 years old
I welcome children and teenagers in a welcoming and reassuring environment in which they can feel heard and accompanied in this reality of theirs.
